    Louth cattle market
    Christmas stock show 2009

Rosemary Lindop of Keep Louth Special (KLS) attended the 2009 Christmas stock show, and was very impressed.  Auctioneer David Williams, and his assistant, Will Tyson, were very upbeat, and extremely pleased to see the upturn in the market’s fortunes.

Rosemary spoke to several farmers.  They all commented on the quality of the stock and agreed that the market is a very important facility for farmers.

Local award-winning butcher, Jim Sutcliffe bought the champion, and John Laking – who declared that the show was ‘the best we’ve had’ – bought the runner up.

Rosemary has since suggested that KLS could present a prize at a future stock show, an idea which the KLS committee has warmly endorsed!
