Meeting with Manchester Coop’s Regional Elected Members

Keep Louth Special’s Nick Louth had a useful meeting with Manchester Coop’s regional elected members on the issue of local food. The Coop group, which was on a fact-finding mission, want to work with KLS to make sure that the food retailer works well with the community. Possibilities include hosting a farmers market or evening market somewhere on the Co-op site, sourcing some supermarket meat purchases at Louth cattle market to support Lincolnshire’s last livestock auction, and ultimately offering local foods within stores.
